Chinese businessman slain in Don Carlos

MALAYBALAY CITY – An unidentified trigger man shot a Chinese businessman on March 25.

The fatality was identified as Tony Wang, 58, married, businessman, resident of Fujing, China. Wang was temporarily residing at Purok 6, Poblacion Sur in Don Carlos town, a report obtained from the Bukidnon Provincial Police Office said.

Wang sustained a fatal gunshot wound on his right upper lip. He was brought to Pahilan Emergency Hospital in the said town but pronounced dead minutes later.

Based on initial police investigation, the victim was on his way back to his apartment with a female companion at around 7:20pm.  Two persons riding in tandem on a red Bajaj motorcycle arrived and blocked their way. The back rider shot the victim using a caliber .45 pistol and fled.

Responding policemen recovered a shell of caliber .45 pistol and a deformed false teeth of the victim.(Mel B. Madera)
